Taiwan¡?s Chan Yung-jan oUcEæO won top honors in the singles and doubles tournaments at the 2009 OEC Taipei Ladies Open on Sunday. In the final of the women¡?s international tennis tournament, Chan beat Japan's Ayumi Morita in three sets to take the singles title before returning to the court to win the doubles title with Chuang Chia-jung ioE?e».
Chan first won the singles in the OEC Taipei Ladies Open by beating top-seeded Ayumi Morita of Japan 6-4, 2-6, 6-2. It was the first time in the history of the three-year-old event that a title had remained in Taiwan.
Chan Yun-jan Tennis Player When I saw so many people had come, I wanted to win a championship for Taiwan, said Chan.
Just one hour later, Chan returned to the court to pair-up with Chuang Chia-jung for the doubles final. The Taiwanese pair beat Yayuk Basuki from Indonesia and Riza Zalameda from the United States 6-3, 3-6, 10-7.
Chan Yun-jan Tennis Player I am really very happy about winning these two titles, said Chan. I think that, for me, this is a very important moment.

It will lift her ranking from the current 113 to within the world¡?s top 100. Her aim for next year is to move into the top 50.
